The Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Gregory So, concluded his five-day visit to three ASEAN countries today (November 2).
In the morning, Mr So paid a courtesy call on the Chinese Ambassador to Indonesia, Mr Liu Jianchao.
Mr So then met with the Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian Investment Coordinating Board, Mr Achmad Kurniadi, to explore business opportunities between Hong Kong and Indonesia.
Before concluding his visit, Mr So had a meeting with the Deputy Secretary-General of the ASEAN Secretariat, Dr Lim Hong Hin, on Hong Kong's request to join the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area.
Mr So will return to Hong Kong from Jakarta tonight.
