Police arrested a 45-year-old man this morning (October 25) suspected to be in connection with a murder case in Yau Ma Tei yesterday (October 24).
At about 11am yesterday, a woman made a report to the Police that her female neighbour was found lying unconscious on a bed inside a unit at 226 Shanghai Street. Police officers arrived the scene and located the body of the 49-year-old woman.
After investigation, Police arrested the man in Western District this morning, and he is being detained for further enquiries.
A post-mortem examination will be conducted tomorrow (October 26) to ascertain the cause of her death.
Active investigations by the Regional Crime Unit of Kowloon West are underway.
