Police¡¦s Third Generation Command and Control System yesterday (October 24) experienced partial failure and urgent repair is now being conducted.
At around 11.05 am, the system experienced technical difficulty, mainly leading to some consoles of Hong Kong Island Regional Command and Control Centre failed to communicate with frontline police officers. Urgent repair is being conducted for the system. At about 11.15 am, the affected consoles have switched to the Force Mobile Radio Telephone to maintain communication with frontline police officers.
Initial assessment reveals that 999 emergency services have not been affected. The system is still under urgent repair.
