Minimalist and experimental theatre to be presented in "A 7-D multi-piece performance"
**********************************************************

Presented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD), the drama production "A 7-D multi-piece performance" by Amity Drama Club will be staged in November. Seven seasoned theatre practitioners, serving as the directors of seven stories, will adventurously and playfully make use of the most basic theatrical elements to share their different feelings on life in limited time onstage. These seven eye-opening stories will feature different themes, storylines and styles as they lead the audience to experience a mixture of thrills, happiness, tears and laughter.

The performance promises theatre-goers the memorable experience of spending 140 minutes with seven directors of different ages and backgrounds, as well as the various characters and styles, sharing the same stage.

"A 7-D multi-piece performance" brings together some of the best-known names in theatre directing for a rare showcase. They are Poon Wai-sum, Andrew Chan, Augustine Mok, Cheung Ping-kuen, Lo Ching-man, Alvin Wong and Bonni Chan. The production uses an unprecedented combination of art to present a show with seven 20-minute-long performances: "Where's the said seven thousand plus?", "Nalan", "A tribute to the Amity Club at 40", "O Dreams!", "Obsessed/One", "She and Her Alter Ego in Central" and "Every Day".
