Police will implement special traffic arrangements in the vicinity of Diamond Hill from October 13 to November 4 to facilitate grave-sweepers and to ensure smooth vehicular traffic movements and pedestrian safety during Chung Yeung Festival.
The following special traffic arrangements will be implemented between 7am and 6pm on October 13, 14, 20, 21, 23, 27, 28, and November 3 and 4.
The following roads will be closed to all vehicles (except for emergency vehicles, hearses and funeral vehicles):
(a) the access road to the Diamond Hill Crematorium;
(b) the access road between the Diamond Hill Funeral Parlour and the China Light and Power (CLP) Sub-station; and
(c) the access road adjacent to the Diamond Hill Funeral Parlour leading to Sze Chen Hall.
A section of Yuk Wah Street east of Tsz Wan Shan Road will also be closed (except for private cars, taxis and emergency vehicles).
The following traffic diversions will be implemented:
(a) vehicles shall follow southbound Po Kong Village Road downhill only for entering or leaving Fung Shing Street or Fu Shan Estate carpark; and
(b) vehicles shall follow northbound Po Kong Village Road uphill only for entering or leaving Grand View Garden carpark.
The following right-turn movements for entering or leaving will be banned:
(a) vehicles from westbound Fung Shing Street cannot turn to northbound Po Kong Village Road uphill;
(b) vehicles from northbound Po Kong Village Road uphill cannot turn to eastbound Fung Shing Street;
(c) vehicles from Grand View Garden carpark cannot turn to southbound Po Kong Village Road downhill;
(d) vehicles from southbound Po Kong Village Road downhill cannot turn to Grand View Garden carpark;
(e) vehicles from Fu Shan Estate carpark cannot turn to northbound Po Kong Village Road uphill;
(f) vehicles from northbound Po Kong Village Road uphill cannot turn to Fu Shan Estate carpark;
(g) vehicles from southbound Po Kong Village Road downhill cannot turn to Po Kong Village Road School Village carpark;
(h) vehicles from Po Kong Village Road School Village carpark cannot turn to southbound Po Kong Village Road downhill;
(i) vehicles from southbound Po Kong Village Road downhill cannot turn to an unnamed road opposite to Po Leung Lane;
(j) vehicles from an unnamed road opposite to Po Leung Lane cannot turn to southbound Po Kong Village Road downhill;
(k) vehicles from the carpark on Yuk Wah Street cannot turn to eastbound Yuk Wah Street; and
(l) vehicles from Yuk Wah Crescent cannot turn to eastbound Yuk Wah Street .
Metered parking spaces on the unnamed road between the Diamond Hill Funeral Parlour and CLP Sub-station, and motorcycle parking spaces at Yuk Wah Street near Yuk Hok Lane will be suspended.
Taxi pick up and drop off points will be designated at the following locations:
(a) westbound Fung Shing Street near Fu Yan House, Fu Shan Estate; and
(b) westbound Yuk Wah Street near Yuk Hok Lane.
Private car pick up and drop off point is also at westbound Yuk Wah Street near Yuk Hok Lane.
Between 7am and 6pm on October 14, 21 and 23, Po Kong Village Road School Village carpark will be closed and designated as taxi and private car drop off point.
Actual implementation of special traffic arrangements will be made by the Police at the time depending on traffic conditions in the areas.
