Police set up witness appeal counter at Yung Shue Wan Ferry Pier

     Police has set up a witness appeal counter at Yung Shue Wan Ferry Pier on Lamma Island starting from today (October 5) to appeal for information from the residents who might have witnessed the vessel collision incident occurred off Lamma Island on October 1.

     The counter operated from 3.30pm to 8pm today and will operate from 9am to 8pm from October 6 to 8. Police urge the residents who have been on board the vessels involved and who might have witnessed the collision to come forward.

     Members of the public who have any related information to offer can also contact the investigating officers on the Police investigation hotline 9188 2710.   

     As at 5pm today, the casualty enquiry hotline 1878 999 has received 1,297 calls from the public. Following extensive liaison with the victims and matching of records and information with Police's Disaster Victim Identification Unit, Hospital Authority and Hong Kong Electric Company, it is believed all passengers have been accounted for.
