Prospects Theatre to showcase creativity of local writers with Playwright Scheme VII
**********************************************************

Prospects Theatre's Playwright Scheme VII is set to showcase Hong Kong's theatrical creativity once again. Launched in 2006, the scheme is designed exclusively for new plays, and seeks to provide the city's playwrights with the opportunity for public performance.

This year brings together 21 playwrights to present 21 plays that provide slices of life delivered with acumen, insight and soulful sharing. Each production is unique in its own way, with the stories unfolding on stage.

These theatre practitioners come from all sectors of the trade - seasoned actors and the most sought-after playwrights, producers and directors, including some who think outside the box as well as "crouching tiger, hidden dragon" talents who are ready to stage their latest creations.

Each event is presented in the form of a reading, excerpt or performance, according to the maturity of the production.
