Police arrested a 35-year-old foreign woman tonight (October 3) in connection with a suspected murder and wounding case in which a 45-year-old foreign man was killed while the arrested woman was seriously injured in Yuen Long this morning.
At about 9.45am, Police received a report that a woman was being attacked at a unit of Fairview Park. Police officers sped to the scene and found the 45-year-old man at the garden of the unit Sustaining multiple head injuries, the man’s neck was tied with a belt onto the railing. He was certified dead by the ambulancemen at the scene.
Police located the 35-year-old woman near the unit. Sustaining head injuries, she was sent to Tuen Mun Hospital in conscious state.
Initial investigations revealed that the duo had a dispute at the unit before and attacked each other. Police seized a sickle in suspected connection with the case at the scene.
A post-mortem examination will be conducted later to ascertain the cause of death of the deceased.
Active investigations by District Crime Squad of Yuen Long are under way.
