Police today (September 30) charged a 24-year-old Non-Ethnic Chinese (NEC) male with one count of murder. He will appear at Eastern Magistrate Court tomorrow (October 1).
Police arrested three NEC males, aged between 21 and 29, in Central on September 28. They were suspected to be in connection with the murder case in which a 19-year-old NEC man died in a basketball court near Nam Pin Wai, Yuen Long on September 23.
The remaining two arrestees were released on bail and are required to report back to Police in early October.
Police had earlier arrested five NEC men in suspected connection with the case. Two of them, aged 20 and 24, were jointly holding charged with one count of murder while the remaining arrestees, aged between 21 and 25, were released on bail and are required to report back to Police in early October.
Investigations by the Regional Crime Unit of New Territories North are under way.
