United Nations Sanctions (Somalia) (Amendment) Regulation 2012 gazetted

The Government today (September 28) gazetted the United Nations Sanctions (Somalia) (Amendment) Regulation 2012 (the Amendment Regulation), which came into operation today.
"The Amendment Regulation amends the existing Regulation on Somalia to incorporate a new decision of the United Nations Security Council under Resolution 2036," a government spokesman said.
The Amendment Regulation mainly provides for the prohibition against the importation of charcoal from Somalia.
