Police will implement special traffic arrangements in the vicinity of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre Phase II in Wan Chai on Sunday (September 30) and Monday (October 1) to facilitate the rehearsal and holding of the National Day Flag Raising Ceremony.
(A) Special traffic arrangements for rehearsal of the Flag Raising Ceremonyˇ]between 6.45am and 12.30pm on September 30ˇ^
(1) Road closure
A section of Expo Drive East north of Expo Drive will be closed. Traffic on Expo Drive will be maintained but will be intermittently held up when the parade is marching in and out of the waterfront promenade and Golden Bauhinia Square.
(2) Suspension of bus terminus, taxi stand and parking spaces
The bus terminus, taxi stand and coach metered parking spaces on Expo Drive East will be suspended.
(B) Special traffic arrangements for the National Day Flag Raising Ceremony
(1) Road closure
Expo Drive, Expo Drive Central, Expo Drive East and a section of eastbound Convention Avenue between Expo Drive and Expo Drive East will be closed to all vehicular traffic between 5.30am and 11am on October 1, except for authorised vehicles.
(2) Suspension of bus terminus, taxi stand and parking spaces
(a) The coach metered parking spaces at Expo Drive East will be suspended from 10pm on September 30 to 11am on October 1.
(b) The bus terminus, public bus parking spaces and pick-up/drop-off area on Expo Drive East will be suspended between midnight and 11am on October 1.
(c) The taxi stand on Expo Drive East will be suspended between 5.30am and 11am on October 1.
Any vehicles found illegally parked within the precinct of the special traffic arrangements will be towed away without prior notice.
