Police today (September 26) laid a holding charge against two men, aged 20 and 24, jointly with one count of murder.
About 10pm on September 23, Police received a report about 20 to 30 Non-Ethnic Chinese (NEC) men were fighting with each other in a basketball court near Nam Pin Wai, Yuen Long. Police arrived the scene and located an injured male NEC aged 19, who was rushed to Pok Oi Hospital for medical treatment and was subsequently certified dead.
Police arrested five NEC men aged from 20 to 25 in suspected connection with the case. Two of them, aged 20 and 24, were holding charged and will appear in Tuen Mun Magistrates' Courts tomorrow (Sept 27).
The remaining three, aged 21 to 25 were bailed and will report to the Police in early October.
Investigations by Regional Crime Unit of New Territories North are under way.
