Police appeal for information on a fatal traffic accident in Sau Mau Ping

     Police today (September 24) appealed for information on a fatal traffic accident in Sau Mau Ping on September 15 in which a 84-year-old man died.

     At 8.30am on that day, a taxi driven by a 55-year-old man was travelling along Shun Lee Tsuen Road towards Sau Mau Ping Road. When reaching near Shun Tin Estate, it reportedly hit a bicycle ridden travelling in the same direction.

     The 84-year-old cyclist fell onto the ground and sustained serious head injuries. He was sent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in conscious state where he was certified dead at 9.19am on September 22.

     The case was taken over by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon East for further investigations.
