A total of 136 graves/urns with human remains will be affected by the Liantang/Heung Yuen Wai Boundary Control Point and Associated Works project. Of these, 25 graves may be subject to claims for possessory titles.
A notice for acquisition of land being occupied by these 25 graves was published in the Government Gazette today (September 14).
After the expiration of the one-month notice period, the land occupied by these 25 graves will be vested in the Government and every interest, right or easement of any person in or over the land shall be extinguished. Those who wish to make a claim of ownership should write to the Director of Lands on or before October 13, 2012.
