Extension of CITIC Tower footbridge to LegCo Complex at Tamar gazetted

     The Government published a notice in the Gazette today (September 14), proposing an extension of the CITIC Tower footbridge to the Legislative Council Complex (LCC) at Tamar.

     The proposed extension connects the northern end of the existing CITIC Tower footbridge with the LCC. The proposed works include construction of an extension of a covered footbridge comprising a section along Tim Mei Avenue connecting with the existing footbridge with a clear width of 5.85 metres and a section across Tim Mei Avenue with a clear width of 3.5 metres.

     Other works include modification of the existing CITIC Tower footbridge to facilitate the construction of the above proposed footbridge extension; temporary closure and reconstruction of sections of the existing carriageways and sections of the existing footpaths; temporary closure of a section of the existing CITIC Tower footbridge; and ancillary works including drainage, landscaping and lighting works.

     The plan and scheme of the works are available for public inspection at the following government offices during office hours:

District Lands Office, Hong Kong West and South

     Any person who wishes to object to the proposed works or their use, or both, should write to the Secretary for Transport and Housing, 22/F, East Wing, Central Government Offices, 2 Tim Mei Avenue, Tamar, Hong Kong, on or before November 13, 2012.
