The Chief Executive, Mr C Y Leung, will lead a delegation to attend the 15th Plenary of the Hong Kong/Guangdong Co-operation Joint Conference in Guangzhou on Friday (September 14).
Mr Leung and the Governor of Guangdong Province, Mr Zhu Xiaodan, will jointly preside over the meeting and meet the media afterwards.
The delegation of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government will include the Chief Secretary for Administration, Mrs Carrie Lam; the Secretary for Transport and Housing, Professor Anthony Cheung Bing-leung; the Secretary for Labour and Welfare, Mr Matthew Cheung Kin-chung; the Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, Professor K C Chan; the Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Gregory So; the Secretary for the Environment, Mr Wong Kam-sing; the Secretary for Development, Mr Paul Chan; the Director of the Chief Executive's Office, Mr Edward Yau; the Permanent Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs, Ms Chang King-yiu; and the Head of the Central Policy Unit, Mr Shiu Sin-por.
The Chief Executive will return to Hong Kong in the evening on the same day. During his absence, the Financial Secretary, Mr John C Tsang, will be the Acting Chief Executive.
