CE congratulates Hong Kong's Paralympic fencing team

     Hong Kong's wheelchair fencing team seized three more medals at the London 2012 Paralympic Games. The Chief Executive, Mr C Y Leung, today (September 6) sent his congratulations to the Hong Kong delegation on their achievements.

     Yu Chui-yee captured a gold medal in the women's epee (Category A) event, while Tam Chik-sum and Chan Yui-chong won a silver and a bronze medal respectively in  the men's epee (Category B) and women's epee (Category B) events.

     Mr Leung said, "Our wheelchair fencing athletes have maintained a high level of performance over the past years through hard work and resilience. I would like to pay tribute to them for their brilliant results."

     The Secretary for Home Affairs, Mr Tsang Tak-sing, said he was proud of the achievements of the Hong Kong delegation, adding that their excellent performance had demonstrated their determination to do their best.

     The Hong Kong delegation has so far won seven medals, comprising three gold, two silver and two bronze in the London 2012 Paralympic Games.
