Minimum Wage Commission holds meeting today

The following is issued on behalf of the Minimum Wage Commission:
The main function of the Minimum Wage Commission (MWC) is to report to the Chief Executive-in-Council its recommendations on the statutory minimum wage (SMW) rate. The MWC is considering this matter prudently and conducting detailed analysis and assessment on the basis of relevant statistical data and information as well as views of members of the public and stakeholders received. On this, the MWC convened a meeting today (September 5) and will continue its deliberations on the review of the SMW rate.
