Police are investigating a traffic accident in Sai Kung today (September 2) in which a 18-year-old man died.
At about 2.45pm, a private car driven by a 34-year-old man was travelling along Hiram's Highway towards Tseung Kwan O. When approaching the road junction of Clear Water Bay Road, it reportedly hit the 18-year-old man who was crossing the road.
Sustaining serious head injuries, he was rushed to Tseung Kwan O Hospital where he was certified dead at 3.48pm.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon East are underway.
Police urged anyone who witnessed the accident or has any information to offer to contact the investigating officers on 2305 7500 or 2305 7570.
