     Following is the transcript of remarks by the Chief Executive, Mr C Y Leung, at a media session together with the Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Gregory So, and the Secretary for Security, Mr Lai Tung-kwok, today (August 31) at the ground floor lobby of the Office of the Chief Executive at Tamar:

Chief Executive: We will engage the Central Government and other authorities on the Mainland for us to mutually discuss the capacity of Hong Kong to receive these additional visitors.

Reporter: (inaudible)

Secretary for Security: As what I have said, we would use this three weeks' time to liaise with the relevant Mainland authorities and to reflect to them what is Hong Kong's concern as well as our ability to receive visitors from the Mainland, so that they can promptly respond to Hong Kong's latest situation and on the basis of our understanding that visitors from the Mainland should fulfill our basic understanding that they will come here in accordance with our handling capacity.
