Police are appealing to the public for witnesses to a fatal traffic accident in Yau Ma Tei on August 23 in which a 70-year-old woman died.
At 10.44am on that day, a light goods vehicle driven by a 52-year-old man was travelling along eastbound Dundas Street. When turning into southbound Shanghai Street, it reportedly hit the woman who was crossing the road.
The woman sustained severe head injury and was rushed to Kwong Wah Hospital in unconscious state. She was subsequently certified dead at 11.22pm on the same day.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West are underway.
Police urged anyone who witnessed the accident or has any information to offer to contact the investigating officers on 2773 5258 or 2773 5200.
