From now on until September 9, the 2012 provisional register and the omissions list for the Village Representative Election will be available during office hours for public inspection.

A full copy of the provisional register and the omissions list can be inspected during office hours (Monday to Friday from 9am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm) at the Electoral Registration Officer's (ERO) office in the Home Affairs Department, 30/F, Southorn Centre, 130 Hennessy Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong. The relevant sections for individual districts can be inspected at the offices of the Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AERO) in the respective New Territories District Offices.

Anyone who has made an application for registration but whose name is not recorded in the provisional register, or is included in the omissions list, or has a claim to make about his or her particulars in the register, may lodge a notice of claim in person during the above-mentioned period.

Those whose principal residential address is not in Hong Kong may also submit a notice of claim by post, fax, electronic means (a digital signature supported by a recognised certificate is required), or through a person authorised by them in writing. Notices of claim must reach the ERO or the AERO not later than September 9 (Hong Kong time).

Notice of claim and notice of objection forms can be collected from the ERO office and the AERO offices at the New Territories District Offices. The forms can also be downloaded from the Village Representative Election website (www.had.gov.hk/vre).
