Police are appealing for witnesses to a fatal traffic accident in Sham Shui Po on August 12 in which a 78-year-old woman died.
About 3.24pm on that day, a public light bus driven by a 71-year-old man was travelling along Shek Kip Mei Street towards Castle Peak Road. When approaching the junction with Berwick Street, it reportedly hit the woman who was crossing the road.
The woman sustained head injury and was rushed to Princess Margaret Hospital where she was certified dead at 9.57pm on August 14.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West Region are underway.
Police urged anyone who witnessed the accident or has any information to offer to contact the investigating officers on 2773 5200 or 2773 5262.
