Police today (August 14) appealed to the public for information on a dead body found in North Point on August 8.
At about 2am on that day, Police received a report that a male body was found floating in the sea off North Point Fire Station in Healthy Street East.
The deceased was believed to be a Chinese male aged between 50 and 60. He was about 1.7 metres tall with yellow complexion. He was wearing a black and white striped T-shirt, a pair of black trousers as well as black and red sports shoes when being found. No identity document was found on the body.
Initial investigations revealed no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.
Police urged anyone who knows the deceased or has any information about his next-of-kin to contact the officers of Miscellaneous Enquiries Sub-unit of Marine Harbour Division on 2886 8761.
