Police today (August 13) appealed for information on a fatal traffic accident in Sau Mau Ping on June 28 in which an 87-year-old man died.
About 4.10pm on that day, a taxi driven by a 45-year-old man was travelling southbound of Chun Wah Road. When turning right into Choi Ha Road, the taxi reportedly knocked down the 87-year-old man who was crossing the road.
Sustaining multiple injuries, the man was sent to United Christian Hospital for treatment and later transferred to Kowloon Hospital where he was certified dead at 6.06pm on August 7.
The case has been taken over by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon East for further investigations.
