The delegation of the Tiangong-1/Shenzhou-9 manned space docking and rendezvous mission toured the Peak this morning (August 12).
The Acting Commissioner for Tourism, Miss Rosanna Law, greeted the delegation at the Peak Tram Station at Garden Road. They took the Peak Tram together to the must-see attraction before touring Madame Tussauds Hong Kong and the Sky Terrace.
The leader of the delegation, Mr Niu Hongguang, and astronauts Mr Jing Haipeng, Mr Liu Wang and Ms Liu Yang were briefed by representatives of Madame Tussauds. They were impressed by the fidelity and craftsmanship of the wax figures there.
Later on, they proceeded to the Sky Terrace to enjoy the spectacular panoramic views of skyscrapers and Victoria Harbour.
During their tour on the Peak, the delegation was greeted by hundreds of visitors and local citizens at the Peak Piazza.
