Police are investigating a homicide in Wan Chai this afternoon (August 3) in which a 30-year-old woman was killed.
At 1.48pm, Police received a report from a 29-year-old man who claimed to have attacked his 30-year-old wife in a cubicle of a building at Kingston Street after they had a dispute.
Police sped to the scene and found the woman, who sustained neck injuries, lying unconscious on a bed in the cubicle. She was sent to Ruttonjee Hospital for treatment and was certified dead at 2.26pm.
The 29-year-old man was arrested for homicide and will be detained overnight for further enquiries.
A post-mortem will be arranged later to ascertain the cause of death of the deceased.
Investigation by District Crime Squad of Wan Chai is underway.
