The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government today (July 27) adjusted the Outbound Travel Alert (OTA) for Fukushima Prefecture in Japan from red to amber and removed the amber OTA for Morocco.
A Government spokesman said, "Residents intending to visit Fukushima Prefecture or those who are already there should exercise caution, attend to personal safety and monitor the situation and the announcements by the Japanese authorities. In particular, they should avoid all travel within 20 kilometres of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant, as well as the evacuation areas identified by the Japanese authorities."
