Fatal traffic accident in Mong Kok

     Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in which a 37-year-old man was killed in Mong Kok last night (July 26).

     About 9.10pm, a public light bus (PLB) driven by a 37-year-old man was travelling West Kowloon Corridor towards Tsim Sha Tsui. When reaching near Sycamore Street, it reportedly knocked down the 37-year-old male pedestrian.

     Sustaining multiple injuries over the body, the male pedestrian was sent to Kwong Wah Hospital where he was certified dead at 10.34pm.

     The PLB driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death and is being detained pending further enquiries.
     Investigations by Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West are underway.
