Public transport services
-------------------------

A total of 71 bus routes and five green minibus routes operating in the affected areas will be temporarily diverted.  Admiralty (East) Public Transport Interchange will also be temporarily suspended until the related closed roads are re-opened.  The concerned public transport operators will arrange publicity to inform passengers of the temporary arrangements.

Due to extensive road closure, the TD anticipates that the traffic from Causeway Bay to Central will be very congested on that day.  Motorists are advised to avoid driving to the affected areas.  In case of traffic congestion, motorists should exercise tolerance and patience, and follow the instructions of the Police.  People who plan to go to the affected areas are advised to use public transport services.

The TD and the Police will closely monitor the traffic situation and implement appropriate measures as necessary.  Motorists and the public are advised to be alert to the latest traffic news on TV and radio.

Details of the special traffic and transport arrangements are available at TD's website (www.td.gov.hk).  For further queries, please contact the 1823 Call Centre (tel: 1823).
