     The Hong Kong Observatory issued the Hurricane Signal No. 10 at 12.45am today (July 24).

     According to the Hospital Authority, as at 1.30am, a total of 50 people, including 23 males and 27 females, aged between 4 and 86, have sought medical treatment at the Accident and Emergency Departments at public hospitals. Fifteen of them were admitted.

     Two flooding cases and 215 reports of fallen trees were received by the Development Bureau.  In addition, Highways Department and the Leisure and Cultural Services Department respectively received 202 and six reports of fallen trees.  Besides, the relevant authority issued the landslip warning at 1.10am.

     The Home Affairs Department has so far opened 24 temporary shelters and 249 people have sought refuge at the shelters.

     Fifteen passenger flights have been cancelled and 212 delayed as at 1.30am.
