Attention duty announcers, radio and TV stations:
Please broadcast the following special announcement as soon as possible and repeat it at suitable intervals:
"Members of the public are reminded that broken electrical conductors are dangerous. They should not come into contact with any broken wires and should report such cases to the electricity companies without delay."
"Members of the public are also reminded that when they use gas bathroom heaters, they should leave the bathroom door open, to ensure adequate ventilation. It is however not appropriate to open the window under typhoon conditions."
