HKO clarifies Internet and email messages on tropical cyclone information

In response to messages circulating on the Internet and via emails today (July 22) speculating the time of issuance of various tropical cyclone warning signals concerning tropical cyclone Vicente, the Hong Kong Observatory clarifies that it has not issued such messages to any organisation. Members of the public are advised to pay attention to the official announcements issued by the Hong Kong Observatory on tropical cyclone Vicente through radio, TV and the Observatory's website (www.weather.gov.hk/wxinfo/currwx/tc.htm) .
