Admission tickets for Picasso exhibition all sold out

     A spokesperson for the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) announced today (July 7) that admission tickets for "PICASSO - Masterpieces from Musˆme National Picasso, Paris" exhibition, currently being staged at the Hong Kong Heritage Museum, had all been sold out.

     The spokesperson noted that the exhibition had received overwhelming response from the public and some 212,000 advance tickets had all been sold out.  Up to yesterday (July 6), the exhibition has recorded an attendance of more than 203,000. It is envisaged that the exhibition will receive about 275,000 visitors when it is closed on July 22.

     "We thank the public for their support that makes this exhibition a great success. We also want to express our gratitude to the Musˆme National Picasso, Paris for providing 56 original works by Picasso, making this exhibition the most comprehensive one on Picasso's works ever held in the city.

     "Those who have purchased the tickets are advised to attend the exhibition as scheduled and follow the guidance by museum staff during their visit so as to ensure an enjoyable visiting experience," the spokesman said.

     The spokesperson reminded that LCSD museum pass holders could still redeem admission vouchers for the exhibition at the lobby of the museum 15 minutes before each viewing session by presentation of their museum pass. Admission vouchers will be available for redemption on a first-come, first-served basis.

     Running from May 19 to July 22, "PICASSO - Masterpieces from Musˆme National Picasso, Paris" is co-presented by the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macau and the LCSD, and jointly organised by the Hong Kong Heritage Museum and the Musˆme National Picasso, Paris. It is one of the highlight cultural events to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the 20th edition of Le French May.
