The Support and Consultation Centre for SMEs (SUCCESS) of the Trade and Industry Department will hold a seminar entitled "Rules for Quality Management: How to Motivate Your Team to Pursue Excellence" on July 24 (Tuesday). The seminar will introduce the rules for quality management and explore the formulation and sharing of team objectives as well as tips for fostering team spirit.
At the seminar, founder of Terence Wong & Partners, PhD of the University of California, Los Angeles, and Asian Top 10 Corporate Trainer 2006 Dr Terence Wong will explore the above issues with SMEs and analyse through case studies the common mistakes made by managers when seeking to motivate their teams, such as overusing interpersonal skills, presenting negative body language to others, becoming excluded because of problems in balancing different interests and choosing improper awards and punishments.
The seminar will be held at 2.30pm in the Lecture Theatre, G/F, Hong Kong Central Library, 66 Causeway Road, Causeway Bay (MTR Tin Hau station, exit B). The seminar will be conducted in Cantonese. Admission is free.
