Tropical Storm Doksuri situation report (1)

     The Hong Kong Observatory issued the Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No.8 at 11:05 pm yesterday (June 29). Tropical Storm Doksuri will be closest to Hong Kong in the next few hours.

     So far, no injury was reported. A report of falling concrete from external wall at Shung Ling Street, San Po Kong was received by Buildings Department. No imminent danger was noted on site after inspection.

     Six reports of fallen trees were received by Highways Department and Fire Services Department.
 
     The Home Affairs Department has opened 16 temporary shelters and as at 12.30am this morning (June 30), 56 people have sought refuge at the shelters.

     The arrival and departure flights at the Hong Kong International Airport remain normal.

     No report of flooding or landslide has been received.
