Special traffic arrangements in Tai Po for parade

     The Police will implement special traffic arrangements on July 1 (Sunday) in Tai Po to facilitate the holding of a parade.

A. Road closure and traffic diversion (from 3.30pm and 7pm)

(1) westbound San Wai Tsai Road;
(2) northbound Ting Lai Road between San Wai Tsai Road and Ting Tai Road;
(3) northbound Ting Kok Road between Tai Po Tai Wo Road and Ting Tai Road;
(4) eastbound Kwong Fuk Road between Tsing Yuen Street and On Fu Road;
(5) On Fu Road between Kwong Fuk Road and Wai Yi Street;
(6) Wai Yi Street; Shun Tak Street; Yan Hing Street; Hei Yuen Street; Sui On Street and Po Yick Lane;
(7) eastbound San Wai Tsai Road will be converted to two-way traffic; and
(8) Po Yick Street between Pak Shing Street and On Fu Road will be converted to one-way eastbound traffic.

B. Closure of cycle track (from 3.30pm and 7pm)

(1) cycle track along Ting Kok Road between Tai Po Tai Wo Road and Kwong Fuk Bridge; and
(2) cycle track between Kwong Fuk Bridge and Po Yick Street.

C. Suspension of taxi stand and public light bus (PLB) stand (from 3.30pm and 7pm)

(1) taxi stand at northbound On Fu Road; and
(2) PLB stand at eastbound Po Yick Street. The stop for PLB services to Yuen Long will be relocated to the PLB stand at Po Heung Square.

D. Suspension of parking spaces

     The carpark at Pak Shing Street and metered parking spaces at Po Yick Street, Wai Yi Street, Wai Yan Street, Yan Hing Street, Hei Yuen Street and Sui On Street will be suspended between 10am and 7pm except for emergency vehicles and vehicles authorised by police.

     Actual implementation of traffic control will be made at the time depending on conditions in the areas. Motorists are advised to take heed of traffic signs and follow the instruction of police at scene.
