The Police will implement special traffic arrangements in the vicinity of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) Phase II in Wan Chai on Saturday (June 30) and Sunday (July 1) to facilitate the rehearsal and holding of the Flag Raising Ceremony for the 15th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
Bus terminus, public bus parking spaces, private bus pick-up and drop-off area, and coach parking area at Expo Drive East will be suspended between 7am and 12noon on June 30.
The following traffic arrangements will be implemented between 12noon on June 30 and 12noon on July 1:
A. Road closure
Expo Drive, Expo Drive Central and Expo Drive East will be closed except for vehicles with special entry permit.
B. Road diversion
(1) Traffic along northbound Fleming Road heading to Expo Drive East will not be allowed;
(2) Traffic along eastbound Convention Avenue will not be allowed to turn left to Expo Drive; and
(3) Traffic along westbound Convention Avenue will not be allowed to turn right to Expo Drive.
All parking spaces, parking meter spaces and motorcycle parking spaces (disable parking spaces inclusive) at Hung Hing Road will be suspended between 0.01am on June 29 and 11.59pm on July 1.
Lung King Street carpark and motorcycle parking spaces will be suspended between 12noon on June 30 and 12noon on July 1.
Motorists are advised to take heed of traffic signs and follow the instruction of police at scene. Vehicles found illegally parked within the precinct of the special traffic arrangements will be towed away without prior notice.
