Police will implement special traffic arrangements on June 30 (Saturday) to facilitate a public meeting at Victoria Park in Causeway Bay followed by a parade to march off from Victoria Park.
The arrangements will be started from 12.30pm until the event finishes and the crowds are dispersed.
(A) Road closure
(1) A U-turn slip road of Gloucester Road between southbound and northbound Gloucester Road;
(2) A section of southbound Gloucester Road between Victoria Park Road flyover and Causeway Road will be intermittently closed;
(3) Sugar Street;
(4) Jardineˇ¦s Bazaar;
(5) A section of westbound Yee Wo Street between Pennington Street and Jardineˇ¦s Bazaar;
(6) A section of westbound Hennessy Road between Jardineˇ¦s Bazaar and Percival Street;
(7) Lee Garden Road;
(8) Kai Chiu Road;
(9) Pak Sha Road;
(10) Yun Ping Road;
(11) Lan Fong Road;
(12) A section of eastbound Hysan Avenue between Yun Ping Road and Sunning Road; and
(13) A section of southbound Caroline Hill Road between Leighton Road and Eastern Hospital Road.
(B) Traffic Diversions
(1) Traffic along southbound Gloucester Road will be prohibited from turning right to northbound Gloucester Road;
(2) Traffic along southbound Gloucester Road will be diverted to southbound Tai Hang Road flyover;
(3) Traffic along eastbound Great George Street will be diverted to turn left to northbound Gloucester Road except for traffic heading for southbound Tai Hang Road flyover;
(4) Traffic along Irving Street will be diverted to turn right to northbound Pennington Street;
(5) Traffic along northbound Pennington Street will be diverted to turn right to eastbound Yee Wo Street;
(6) Traffic along eastbound Hysan Avenue towards Yun Ping Road will be diverted to either Sun Wui Road, Hoi Ping Road or Sunning Road;
(7) Traffic along westbound Leighton Road towards Yun Ping Road will be diverted to northbound Pennington Street; and
(8) Traffic along eastbound Leighton Road towards Yun Ping Road will be diverted to northbound Pennington Street.
(C) Suspension of bus stops
All bus stops along westbound Yee Wo Street, the bus stop for Residentsˇ¦ Service at Lee Garden Road near Foo Ming Street, and the Beverly Hill Shuttle Bus pickup point at Pak Sha Road will be suspended.
(D) Suspension of green mini bus (GMB) and public light bus (PLB) stands
The PLB stand at Sugar Street and all GMB stands at Lee Garden Road and Lan Fong Road will be suspended.
(E) Suspension of taxi stand
The taxi stand at Yun Ping Road will be suspended.
(F) Suspension of parking spaces
The Hing Fat Street carpark (except disabled and motorcycle parking spaces) will be closed between 10am and 6pm.
All motorcycle parking spaces at Sunning Road will be suspended between 10am and 6pm.
