Change of implementation hours of Mong Kok Pedestrianisation Schemes

     The Transport Department today (June 28) announced that the implementation hours for some of the pedestrian streets in Mong Kok will be ended an hour earlier on a trial basis from next Tuesday (July 3) onwards.

     The pedestrian streets involved will be the section of Sai Yeung Choi Street South between Argyle Street and Dundas Street, the section of Nelson Street between Sai Yeung Choi Street South and Fa Yuen Street, and the section of Soy Street between Sai Yeung Choi Street South and Fa Yuen Street. The implementation hours for those three road sections will be changed to 4pm to 10pm from Mondays to Saturdays, and noon to 10pm on Sundays and general holidays.

     The pedestrian street implementation hours for the section of Tung Choi Street between Argyle Street and Dundas Street will remain unchanged.

     Except for those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, drivers of all motor vehicles will be prohibited from driving into the above pedestrian streets during the implementation hours.
