Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Yuen Long this morning (June 25), in which a 46-year-old woman was killed and a 57-year-old man was injured.
About 8.30am, a public light bus (PLB) driven by a 57-year-old man was travelling along Wang Lee Street southbound, while a private car driven by a 45-year-old man was traveling northbound on the same road. When turning right to Fuk Hi Street, the PLB reportedly collided with the private car.
The PLB driver and a 46-year-old female private car passenger were injured and conveyed to Pok Oi Hospital for treatment. Sustaining serious head and chest injuries, the woman was certified dead at 9.30 am.
The PLB driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death. Investigations by Special Investigation Team for Traffic, New Territories North were underway.
