Police are investigating a traffic accident in Wong Tai Sin this afternoon (June 19) in which a 80-year-old man died.
At about 4pm, a medium goods vehicle (MGV) driven by a 57-year-old man was travelling along westbound Shung Ning Street. When approaching near Ning Yuen Street, it reportedly knocked down the 80-year-old man.
Sustaining serious injuries to lower part of his body, the man was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for emergency rescue where he was certified dead at 8.38pm.
Investigations will be conducted by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon East.
