HA site safety website launched
*******************************

The following is issued on behalf of the Housing Authority:

The Housing Authority (HA) today (June 18) launched a new website dedicated to introducing its site safety measures and promoting occupational health for the public's free access.

"We have been striving to raise site safety standards and foster safety culture for we firmly believe quality and safety go hand in hand. It is also our own and our business partners' corporate social responsibility," an HA spokesperson said.

"Achieving site safety requires commitment by every player in the construction and maintenance works, team building and a robust management framework for both contractors and service providers. As such, we have systematically organised our experience and knowledge in site safety management gained over the years and placed them on the online platform for easy sharing. We hope this initiative will help raise people's awareness of site safety," he said.

Contents of the website include the HA's safety auditing system, the accident/incident reporting mechanism, safety management tools, industry best practices, accident and incident alerts and site safety statistics.

Information on recently organised site safety forums and workshops, good practice promotion kits and safety guidebooks have also been uploaded for viewers' reference.

Interested parties can click the link "sitesafety.housingauthority.gov.hk" to access the website or enter via the Housing Authority website at www.housingauthority.gov.hk.
