Fatal traffic accident in Castle Peak

     Police are investigating a traffic accident in Castle Peak this afternoon (June 16) in which a 30-year-old man was killed.

     About 12.50pm, a light goods vehicle driven by the 30-year-old man was travelling along Tuen Mun Road towards Tsuen Wan. When reaching near So Kwun Wat, it reportedly rammed into the water barriers and a bulldozer in a roadwork site on its right.

     The driver was trapped inside the car compartment and was rescued by firemen. Sustaining serious multiple injuries, he was certified dead at scene.

     Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North are under way.
