Hong Kong celebrates 15th anniversary

     On July 1, people will celebrate the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Walking through city streets, banners, flags and poster trumpet this special day. The government will host more than 300 activities to observe this historic occasion, including events before, during and after the official date.

     A grand parade, splendid fireworks and large musical performance feature high on the agenda. Hong Kong museums will unveil some spectacular exhibits, including two that showcase two of the most important emperors in China's history, Qianlong and Qin Shihuang.

     The 18 districts will mark the anniversary in their own unique ways, from Cantonese opera performances to beach parties.
