Following is the transcript of remarks by the Chief Secretary for Administration, Mr Stephen Lam, at a media session after attending the special meeting of the House Committee of the Legislative Council today (June 5):
Chief Secretary for Administration: We have prepared this population policy progress report with the participation and contribution of various bureaux and departments. They have made their ideas practical, and we have had the opportunity of putting forth this report to the Legislative Council. There are a total of 10 recommendations, and we believe this provides a useful foundation for the next-term Government to take things forward.
