Weaving through the crowds in the cosmopolitan shopping paradise of Tsim Sha Tsui, it is easy to forget that this was once a pre-eminent international harbour port and military stronghold of Hong Kong.
To celebrate the district's illustrious history and evolution, the Hong Kong Heritage Project is presenting the "Our Tsim Sha Tsui - Past, Present and Future" exhibition in the Hong Kong Heritage Discovery Centre in Kowloon Park. At its core are two large-scale Lego models which reflect Tsim Sha Tsui, past and present.
Two Lego aficionados who participated in building these models describe the painstaking process of recreating historic landmarks such as the Star Ferry Pier, the Clock Tower and the Peninsula hotel in minute detail.
