Online voting for the discussion topics at Youth Summit 2012 finished yesterday (May 31). The four topics with the highest numbers of votes and selected as discussion topics at the summit are:

* The figure represents the percentage of the 765 persons that participated in the online voting who selected the topic concerned.
The Youth Summit 2012, hosted by the Home Affairs Bureau and the Commission on Youth, will be held on November 24 (Saturday). It provides a platform for young people to exchange views with government officials and guests on issues that concern them.
The theme of the Youth Summit 2012 is "Voices of the Youth - Our Ideal ...". To enhance youth participation, online voting was conducted between May 10 and 31 for young people and the public to choose 4 out of 10 topics for in-depth discussions at the summit.
With support from the general public and young people, the online voting has been completed. A total of 765 persons participated in the activity. Other possible topics for selection were: Our Ideal Green Life, Our Ideal Healthy Life, Our Ideal Conservation Approach, Our Ideal Cultural Development, Our Ideal Trade Order and Our Ideal Sports Development.
Details regarding the recruitment of youth participants for the Youth Summit will be announced in due course.
