An operational event at Ling Ao Nuclear Power Station (LNPS) was reported today (May 30) on the website of Daya Bay Nuclear Power Operations and Management Co. Ltd. (DNMC), a spokesperson for the Security Bureau said today.
Staff of LNPS noted during a regular inspection on May 28 that the temperature of pre-heat water circuit of the emergency generator had not been recorded in accordance with relevant requirement. The situation was rectified immediately. The event was classified as a "Level 0" event on the International Nuclear Event Scale which means it had no safety significance.
The DNMC would disseminate on its website (www.dnmc.com.cn) news pertaining to the operation and safety issues of both the Guangdong Nuclear Power Station and LNPS for information of the general public.
