********************************************************

Additional performances of the two stage programmes "Miracle Kingdom" and "Short-nosed Elephant Xiao Xiao" in the large-scale summer festival International Arts Carnival have been scheduled in response to overwhelming public demand. Tickets will be available from May 30 (Wednesday) at URBTIX.

Produced by Wilderness Creation, the musical "Miracle Kingdom" tells the story of Little Frog's hilarious journey to the land of happiness. Little Frog is still unhappy even after turning into a prince. To search for happiness, Little Frog is told by the Prince of Miracle to head east for the Miracle Kingdom. On his journey, he encounters pessimistic Cinderellay, grumpy Tiny Little Prince, Wolfy Wolf who likes to eat little girls, and Evil Queen. After a series of uproarious incidents, can he find the Miracle Kingdom and live happily ever after?

Additional performances of "Miracle Kingdom" will be held at 3pm on July 27 and at 7.30pm on July 29 at the Sai Wan Ho Civic Centre Theatre, with tickets priced at $190, $150 and $110. The shows will be conducted in Cantonese.

Produced by Jumbo Kids Theatre and Theatre Horizon, the multimedia theatre production "Short-nosed Elephant Xiao Xiao" is a heart-warming children's tale adapted from the work of celebrated Taiwanese writer Giddens. All kinds of animals live happily in a forest, except for Xiao Xiao, whose short nose makes him unable to be the same as other elephants. Hoping to be given a beautiful long nose, Xiao Xiao sets out to find the forest god and experiences a journey that leads to a series of life-changing encounters. Featuring a colourful cast that includes rod and shadow puppets, live original music and children's songs, the show will touch the hearts of all youngsters.

Additional performances of "Short-nosed Elephant Xiao Xiao" will be held at 7.30pm on August 2 and 5 at the Sheung Wan Civic Centre Theatre, with tickets priced at $190, $150 and $110. The shows will be conducted in Cantonese.

Half-price tickets are available for full-time students, senior citizens, people with disabilities and their minders, and Comprehensive Social Security Assistance recipients. Booking discounts of up to 20 per cent are available for full-price performing arts/film programmes.
